"I enquired from Amanda if she could make over a bracelet for me which wasn't wearing well. It had been given to me by my partner so it had strong sentimental value as it was the first piece of jewellery he ever gave me. Well what an amazing job was done. 'When my niece in Holland was 7 yrs old (37 yrs ago) and did her first communion, we had chosen a bracelet with natural NZ stones on a linked setting. She adored this bracelet and great was her sadness when some years later this bracelet was taken in a burglary. When I found out how upset she was I went searching for a replacement bracelet. For years I looked in all sorts of places but never found one even remotely similar.
Later this year we are making a trip back to Holland again and I resumed my search in the hope to be able to surprise my niece, who is a very special woman. I posted on the TM message board and asked a few questions in the craft section. Amanda got in touch with me and send me some pictures of what looked like the bracelet without the stones. I was delighted. I now only had to go looking for similar stones and Amanda kindly had offered to glue the stones onto the bracelet with a special glue.
I found some gems and posted them to Amanda who managed to purchase another bracelet for me and we selected the most suitable stones. Amanda very skillfully glued the gems in place and the result is stunning. (Note: CLICK HERE to see the finished bracelets)
In a matter of weeks, thanks to Amanda's skill and helpfulness, suggestions and advice, we succeeded in recreating the gift for my niece. Today the completed product arrived in the mail. The packaging was beautiful, I could tell Amanda loves her work, her presentation was stunning, from the bubble wrap to the gorgeous black box with a cute pink bow and each bracelet carefully wrapped in silver tissue. I know my neice will be delighted. I can't wait to see her face when she opens it.
I highly recommend Amanda's work. Her prices are reasonable, her friendliness, skill, insight, and joy in her creations is obvious.
