Year of Jewellery 2008-2009
Year of Jewellery Challenge
(September 2008 to September 2009)
I am challenging myself to a "Year of Jewellery" - would you like to join in? It's fun :)
Each month I will post a pic here, so keep checking. The object is to make an item of jewellery that fits within the monthly topic, starting 1 September 2008.
I'll also link back to my Flickr site and show all the other submissions from other designers that I know. If you want to join in the fun, justemail me your monthly pic and I'll post it here too - remember to include your website address or email address if you want added publicity for your work :)
Let the fun begin...!
September 2008
Theme: "Spring"
Necklace made with antique brass chain and floral toggle, with handmade polymer clay, lucite and glass flowers and leaves clustering above a handmade resin pendant. Thanks to Paula for the gorgeous pendant, I love it!
October 2008
Theme: "Wings"
A beautiful HUGE faceted Citrine stone is embellished with 100% pure brass stampings - a butterfly and an ornate bail - and hung from an antique brass-look floral toggle clasp. I just love the colour combination and the Citrine is so lush - gorgeous! Also to-die-for is the detailing on the butterfly (which, although looking delicate, took OVER AN HOUR to bend perfectly into shape before attaching to the Citrine!).
