Amphitrite was the wife of Poseidon, Greek God of the Sea.  The beautiful colours and pattern on this handmade glass cabachon from Australian glass artist Anne Dundas puts me in mind of that, so I think the name is very fitting :-)

Swirls of lilac, aqua blue and two shades of a beautiful watery green make up this lovely glass cabachon, and I have tried my best to bring out all of the colours by surrounding it with peyote-stitched seed beads in blue and silver, as well as Swarovski crystals and pearls in those colours.

There is a dangling cream freshwater pearl topped with a green Swarovski crystal that is suspended from the bottom of the pendant, and the 5-stranded green cord necklace really allows this pendant to take centre stage :-)

The pendant measures 6cm x 6cm (that's 2 1/4in x 2 1/4in) including the dangling pearl/crystal.  The corded necklace measures 43cm (17in) but I am happy to lengthen slightly if needed (no charge).
