This beautiful handmade bead by Christchurch, NZ glass artist Deb Batten has been in my stash for almost a year now (maybe longer!).  I just adored the colours in it but wanted to wait until inspiration struck me before I used it.  Today, that inspiration hit me like a bolt of lightning.

It needed simple decoration, in keeping with it's linear theme.  So I added lots of tiny 4mm Swarovski crystals in gold, yellow, garnet red, smoky grey, pale green, peach, 2 different shades of purple and light golden brown.  All the gorgeous colours within the focal bead itself!

Antique brass fittings just seemed to go with it's vintage-air so I used a very fine antique brass-plated chain and plain parrot clasp for closure.  (Length of chain can be varied to within 10cm either side of the current length for no charge).
