This beautiful glass cabachon was made especially for me by uber-talented Australian glass artist Anne Dundas (thanks Anne!). I've been coveting it for well over a year now, and thought it was about time I tried to do it justice...
I peyote-stitched around it using glass seed beads in varying shades of pink (to tone in with the flecks inside the glass cabachon) to trap it, then added it to a necklace of Red Jade, Rhodonite, Swarovski and Czech crystals in purple and pink, and white Swarovski pearls. The remainder of the necklace uses matching glass seed beads, and the clasp is a gorgeous decorative pewter toggle clasp.
Absolutely STUNNING in real life (just wish I could capture the depth of the glass cabachon better - it's beautiful!).
