This beautiful, faceted, natural ruby has been in my collection for almost a year. I've been too scared to use it until now! But, with the mastering of peyote stitch, I finally feel I can do this amazing stone, justice.
I have kept the setting simple, using dusky pink and cream coloured tiny seed beads to embellish around the ruby, keeping it secure but not masking it's natural beauty. It is double-sided, with both sides being slightly different. I've used white freshwater pearls, tiny garnets and sterling silver accents in order to complement the pendant. Closure is by way of sterling silver bolt clasp.
Absolutely gorgeous! If you have a July birthday, this is the necklace for you (as Ruby is the birthstone for July).
