With our Southern Hemisphere winter fast approaching, I've been thinking along the lines of brooches and pins lately - anything to liven up those winter scarves and woolly jumpers!
This heart was created using antique bronze non-tarnish artistic wire - the frame was hammered for strength, then the inside was woven using the herringbone technique to create some texture. The "pin" was also hammered and the wire heart handformed.
It looks great when worn in the knot of your scarf or on medium-heavy weave jerseys, jumpers, cardigans - whatever!
The end of the pin has been filed to create a smooth finish that won't catch :)
Size: Heart is 5.5cm x 5cm (that's roughly 2" square) - Pin is 12.5cm (5") long.
