This necklace indulges my love of vintage jewellery!
The extra long necklace features some very special trinkets - a vintage silver flat key (from a post office box in some far-off country, perhaps?)that I have embellished with a hand-made pendant setting featuring a lady wearing a corset (picture is in sepia toning). I have also attached a silver and gold foil glass bead. The most special feature is a tiny glass vial that holds a piece of vintage ivory lace that I found buried in my grandmother's sewing box. I'm not sure why she kept it, but I snipped a piece of it and carefully tucked it inside this tiny glass vial. I think it adds an air of mystery, a connection to a past that may or may not be yours... Of course, you are free to remove it and add your own special keepsake if you prefer.
The silver plated and engraved chain has a clasp that is blended perfectly with the chain so that it does not stand out. It is able to be worn several different ways, due to it's length. Wrap it around your neck once and then have a combination choker/trinket necklace, wrap it several times to bring the trinkets higher, or just choose to wear it long, as is. The choice is yours!
Length of chain: 78cm/almost 31". Trinket collection falls 8cm/just over 3" from base of the necklace. If you'd prefer the chain to be shorter, I will gladly alter for you prior to sending - just leave me a message as you go through the checkout :)
