I have used briolettes in this tutorial, but also explain how to form flowers using other types of beads.

It is suitable for beginners who have not worked with wire before. The list of materials required is very small (28g wire, 5 briolette beads, a bead cap, a 6-8mm bead and approx 10-15 no. 8 or 11 seed beads). You will need flush cutters and chain nose pliers.
