A beautiful, hand-beaded necklace in muted shades of blue, green, purple and pink.
The handmade fine porcelain cabachon from Designs by Shell was my colour-guide for this necklace. First, I beaded around the cab using Delica seed beads in blue and purple. Then I backed it in Ultrasuede fabric in a matching purple, and beaded around the edges, adding purple Swarovski crystals.
The next stage involved bezel-beading this gorgeous purple/pink/gold-hued Swarovski crystal rivolli, before stitching it to the bottom of the beaded cab.
Stage three was the beautiful fringe detail in the necklace, hand-stitching each amethyst, Swarovski crystal and pearl, Czech glass flower, aluminium flower, lucite flower and glass leaf to add interest. I love the colours here!
The final stage saw me hand-stitching the gorgeous beaded lace to a backing of pale pink velvet ribbon. The clasp is cleverly hidden beneath the lace, so as not to interfere with the design.
