That's what this bracelet reminds me of - another place, another time. The fine porcelain cabachon by "Designs by Shell" (featuring an Eiffel Tower image) sets the scene for this mood-evoking cuff bracelet, surrounded by handsewn and embroidered goodies such as Jasper, cream pearls, Swarovski crystals, garnets, carnelian, peridot and keishi pearls. So many gorgeous elements, each bead handsewn onto the Ultrasuede base, one bead at a time. I love the earthy tones here - green, bronze, orange, brown, cream - all blended together beautifully to create this one-of-a-kind cuff.
The back was layered with more Ultrasuede, so it's soft against your skin but also hard-wearing, and the closure is by vintage copper button.
The edges were further embellished with picot stitching (again, by hand), creating the perfect framework for this eye-catching bracelet.
Well worth the 13+ hours that I spent making it! The cuff is comfortable to wear and beautifully and carefully made, to ensure years of wear and enjoyment - a real heirloom piece.
